Entelect was ranked overall winner in all three categories of the Survey in which its employees participated. These were the ‘Best Company to Work For in SA (50–300 staff)’, the ‘Best Small Company to Work For in Southern Africa’, as well as the ‘Best Information Technology Company to Work For (all sizes)’.
The annual survey, conducted by Deloitte (http://www.deloitte.co.za) since 2000, is regarded as the leading survey of its kind in Southern Africa and includes participating companies from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. The survey aims to provide an objective measure of employee’s experiences against the market norm. The primary areas of evaluation included are:
- Employees’ sense of confidence in the organisation
- The company’s organisational ethics and integrity
- The company’s operational effectiveness
- Employees’ relationship with manager/supervisor
- Employees’ sense of inclusion in the organisation
- Employees’ overall job satisfaction
- Career development
- Employee work-life balance
- Performance and recognition
- Remuneration
Employees complete the survey anonymously and the participating companies are then judged on their strong leadership, empowerment of new leaders from within their organisation, giving back to the community, their ability to remain dynamic and the quality and morale of its employees.
‘We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by these outstanding awards and would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff members, who make Entelect the company that it is,’ says Shashi Hansjee, managing director at Entelect. Hansjee says, ‘This recognition reflects our core goal of making our company an innovative, exciting and influential environment for the incredible talent we house, and we couldn’t be more proud of this achievement.’
These prestigious accolades follow the company’s ongoing success and growth within the South African and global customised software development field.
