This validation is good news for those seeking to renew their Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) membership and comply with the Council's CPD requirements. The CPD requirements were put in place by ECSA in 2006 to ensure that those who practise as engineers, stay abreast of developments and advancements within their profession and are continuously maintaining and developing their knowledge within the field of practice.
A further requirement from ECSA is that organisations are encouraged to present CPD activities, as well as to assist their members in identifying CPD activities initiated by private providers. To this end, Entelect ensures that its training sessions are of a high standard and it is especially good to see that the company’s internal forums are given value by independent organisations.
The accreditation means that professionals can now grow their CPD level by attending in-house training. Gail Shaw, technical lead (SQL Server) at Entelect presents the course to all Entelect employees free of charge. Shaw is well regarded in the industry and is a Microsoft Certified Master: SQL Server. This particular validation is only the beginning as Entelect is in the process of accrediting a number of other forums.
