Strengthening partnerships with technology vendors like Microsoft and Oracle. Entelect is recognised by Microsoft as the leader in Azure implementations in Africa and has also recently acquired Oracle Gold Partner status.
Diversification of offerings from the traditional development services based on the Java and .NET platforms, to the introduction of Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, Oracle and SQL development services.
Maturation of internal programmes, which include Entelect’s 1Up rewards and employee recognition programme, graduate boot camp, internal training programmes, DevDays, social engagements, sporting and recreational events.
Maturation of external programmes, which include the Entelect Foundation that supports school children, a developer-focused community programming challenge (R100K challenge), presentations at various public technical forums, and ongoing partnerships with all major universities to ensure a sustained supply of the best graduates.
Pritchard also confirmed that Entelect will continue to invest in foundation initiatives and product research & development, however the largest area of investment will remain in staff initiatives and improving the well-being of Entelect staff. He congratulated the top performers in the 1Up programme, management and staff for their efforts, and closed off by highlighting the primary reason for Entelect’s success: “Recruit the best, live our values, aim to be the best software engineering company in the world and the rest will follow” - a philosophy which has seen Entelect grow to a 180 man strong leading South African based software company over a period of 12 years.
